Huge spoiler for the ending of this season regarding Emily and the couples on the show under the cut.

According to TVGuide, the season will end with a wedding, but it doesn't tell us if it will be JJ and Will or Garcia and Kevin. It also confirms Emily won't die, and that Paget may come back (with guest star status, I assume).

Spoiler alert! Rather than stage a funeral to explain the upcoming exit of Paget Brewster's Emily — just a year after she faked her death — CBS' Criminal Minds has decided to end the season with a wedding. But who's getting hitched at the end of the tense two-hour finale is a secret. "We decided not to kill her off," explains executive producer Erica Messer. "We had already buried her, so that would have seemed repetitive." Instead, Emily will "leave the BAU to pursue other things, which mimics what Paget's pursuing in real life. If Paget ever wants to come back, this exit allows the door to be open."

Emily's last scene with her friends will be in one of their backyards, celebrating the intimate wedding of a longtime couple. "We wanted to balance out the darkness of the two hours and the bittersweetness of Paget leaving with the flip side of a really good thing," says Erica, who confirms that the couple exchanging vows will either be J.J. and Will or Garcia and Kevin. "They'll all have a really rough Saturday with a hostage situation and then a really lovely Sunday. To end a season on a happy note instead of blowing something up is very unusual for us." 

My money's on JJ and Will. But I'm kinda really excited for this anyway. The team could use a season finale without angst. Well, I doubt Emily's departure will completely lack angst anyway.

I agree: JJ and Will. I'm going to miss Prentiss so much, I love her friendship with every team member. She and Rossi slay me when they're teamed together.

I really don't want Garcia to get married, it will take all the spice out of the relationship with Morgan. But at the same time, JJ not marrying Hotch or Reid is not cool either. Maybe I need to write a fic about Reid crashing the wedding and marrying her instead.

I AGREE 100%. Why do none of my OTPs work out?! When is Will going to be killed off/an asshole/etc. and Reid will swoop in and father Henry because he's his godfather??

I'm not sure who it's going to be - both couples seem to have had their difficulties this season. I'm glad they're not killing Emily off though.

I think and actually hope it is JJ and Will because those two have a kid together and quite frankly why would we be delving into JJ's homelife with Will if there wasn't some outcome at the end of this season?

As far as the hostage situation goes, why do I have a feeling that it will somehow involve Prentiss (since she is leaving) and Reid? Oh, that's right, because Rick Dunkle said this: "There's some great Reid stuff coming up in the 2-hour finale…"

I'd say JJ/Will too. Although it'd be really fun if it was Kevin/Garcia, I don't find it as realistic (and it would kill part of her relationship with Morgan)

Honestly, I hope Paget doesn't come back if she leaves. It would be like "Come at first, leave in season 6, come back in season 7, leave in season 7, come back in season 8". I don't find that really serious. As much as I love Emily/Paget, I think the show is going to have to move on without her."To end a season on a happy note instead of blowing something up is very unusual for us." I hadn't been following to much the late news on CM, and I'm surprised to see that there will be a two-hour finale, sounds exciting!

Anyways, I'm also glad they aren't killing Emily off. I didn't think they would but it would have really been bad after last season...
But if JJ and Will do get married, I'll also be pissed off. There would be no more hope for her and Hotch, nooooo D: (Although she could still divorce/get Will killed/ run away/cheat, there are tons of possibilities :D

"Garcia fears a possible proposition from Kevin" - I don't think that sets it in stone really. Until the episode is aired. I'd see them doing a fake-out.

Eh, this show shoots pretty straight. I actually don't see them doing a fake out at all. And I don't think we'd have a proposal between two characters one episode and then a few episodes later a different couple getting married. I'm guessing it's going to take Garcia those episodes in between to warm up to the idea.

I don't know, seems a bit easy if it's really what will happen... It says that she fears a proposition, not that it will actually happen (?). But I agree it would be odd to have a proposal between a couple and a wedding between an other a few episodes later.
Well, it will be interesting to see what happens!

I don't think he's going to propose. Besides, even if he did, Garcia was apparently "fearing" it so why would she say yes and then get married at the end of the season? That makes no sense.
Either way, I think by the end of this week's episode, we'll know who's getting married based on what happens with Garcia and Kevin. My money is on JJ and Will 100%, unfortunately :( My JJ/Reid hope is diminishing ahhh.

I meant a fake out in the way of Kevin proposes, or might propose, but then they decide together that they don't need/want a piece of paper to make it official. Or something.

Man, it probably would be JJ and Will, but I hope they don't. Their relationship as parents-with-benefits just adds so much more to both of them. And damn, big sis is still leaving us. Not that I'm surprised, after the hell Paget was put through last year.

It interferes with OTPs, I suspect. I mourn the lack of OT3s in this fandom. Will/JJ/Reid would be awesome.
