My daughter is expecting her first in June - I commented to her that not she gets the fun of having total strangers want to rub her belly. She told m that didn't bother her too much - what she's squicky about is the strangers who are going to want to touch her baby after it's born.
Remember, kids--an abdomen does not enter public domain when the "OCCUPIED" sign goes up; touching the bump without permission amounts to groping at least two people.
I don't know why some people think it's okay to touch without consent, other people's hair, belly, pets, or children (and in the case of children, you might be the most loving aunt/uncle in the world, but if the kid doesn't want her cheek pinched, stop it or I'll bite!).
