Summary: This is how it starts, with a friendship that can't stop from becoming more.
Author's Notes: This is my first attempt at Criminal Minds fanfic, so please be gentle. I like to think I know the characters, but I don't have much experience writing crime drama related fic, so this is new for me. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I've set it in the space between Emily arriving and Gideon leaving, but it's not specific to any one episode, and any cases involved are my own vague imaginings. Will update if this chances.
