Okay, so, being the strange freak that I am, I have two obscure questions to ask.  Well okay, the first is obscure, show related, the second is just me trying to asses how insane I am.

1. Do we know the religions/religious backgrounds of the team members and/or is there widely accepted speculation on them?
2. Am I the only person who does psychological profile on family member/friends/people in books, T.V., etc?  Or am I just completly out of my mind?

Please keep in mind that I am obsessed and sleep-deprived, and please don't think I'm insane.  Thank you in advance for your help!

Gideon is a deeply religious man; he says so on several occasions. I believe Mandy Patinkin himself is Jewish (someone correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't know whether Gideon is supposed to be Jewish or Christian.

Other than that, I don't think we know anything... Oh, other than the fact that in Revelation(s), Hotch in particular seems well-versed in the Bible. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with anything, but...

Mandy is Jewish. And Gideon really hates people who use religion to justify their bad behavior.

Reid knows the Bible, of course. But that doesn't signify. As a physicist (if he's actually a physicist, but it does seem likely, given "Derailed," and MGG's on the record comments about his degrees) he seems unlikely to be involved in any organized religion, but I've known some scientists who were deeply spiritual.

Hotch's mom is from Virginia, and she's old South. You *bet* he was raised churchgoing, whether he is now, or not. Garcia might have been raised Catholic, based on the spotty evidence of a Hispanic stepdad.

I think I spotted Prentiss wearing a gold cross in one episode.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Prentiss' cross!

JJ was almost certainly brought up with religion, but that doesn't necessarily reflect her current views.

LOL I think everyone does that!

I definitely analyze anyone around me, have been doing so since ever. I'm a big believe in psychology and that people act a certain way more due to psychological problems or condition then because they were 'born this way' or whatever.

I'm having a lot of arguments with my work friends about this. We work at a school for kids whom can't be at home mostly due to behavioral (sp?) problems. I kept telling them the most of the things kids do they can;t understand why is psychology 101 (like how they prefer not to do a test instead of 'risking' getting a c+).

Also, when writing fanfic you must know how to analyze characters, that one of the reasons, and probably the main one, why I like writing fanfics more then short original stories
