Is "Jones" the official episode for tonight? Tv.com and Yahoo say that it is, but I thought they ran a promo for a new episode last night during NCIS. What's the official word?
It's "Jones" according to the CBS Press Release (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings.aspx?id=20070419cbs06)
"(NOTE TO EDITORS: The following episode of CRIMINAL MINDS has been substituted for the one previously scheduled for April 25).
THE BAU TEAM INVESTIGATES A SERIAL KILLER WHO WAS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN KILLED DURING HURRICANE KATRINA, ON A REBROADCAST OF "CRIMINAL MINDS," WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25
"Jones" -- The BAU team travels to New Orleans to track a serial killer who is again killing men throughout the city after a 15-month break, on a rebroadcast of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, April 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Steve Shill directed the episode from a script written by Andi Bushell. (Originally broadcast 2/28/07) "
cbs.com says its "Jones." I heard some talk about the originally planned episode tonight involved a college campus and killings there and the CBS brass was leery of running it so soon after the VT shootings.
I heard that, too, but I thought the original plan was to flip-flop new episodes, not use a rerun. Maybe they realized they'd botch continuity that way. When, pray, are they going to get on the stick and air the rest of the season?
Judging by the preview for next week, it looks like they're going to hold off on showing 'Doubt' for now, instead showing another new epi, 'Open Season'.
