Character Bashing

Does it annoy you when fans bash a character because they're not enough like one of the former cast members? I was on another Criminal Minds discussion board last night, and joined a discussion about fav/least favorite character. I was appalled by the amount of hate Prentiss gets because she's not like Elle. Prentiss wasn't created to replace Elle, she was created because Lola Glaudini decided to leave the show and another character was created in her absence. Prentiss is just as kick ass as Elle was; just in a different way. The same goes for the Rossi hate. Variety is the spice of life; if there were a revolving door of characters with the exact same traits things would get a little boring, imo.

Spin-off Casting News: Introducing Prophet

According to The Hollywood Reporter...

"The Sopranos" alum Michael Kelly has joined CBS' "Criminal Minds" spinoff...

...CBS' "Criminal Minds" spinoff, which will be introduced in the spring on an episode of "Criminal Minds," revolves around a new group of profilers led by Cooper (Forest Whitaker) who work outside the FBI bureaucracy.

Kelly, whose credits include "Changeling" and HBO's "Generation Kill," will play a member of the squad, a former gang-banger looking for redemption.

Not very informative but with talks of Rob Lowe playing a pseudo Hotch, and the other two original casting roles filled, is this 'Prophet' or a role yet to be released? Meh, then again, they haven't even named this aberration -er, creation.

ETA: This is Prophet as stated in the latter part of the article that I obviously didn't read properly, sorry! Shows my eager interest, eh? -__-

Hi!

Sooooo, I've got 58 pages of bits and pieces of a Buffy/CM crossover. Its Hotchner/Reid (of course), Buffy/Angel, and a whole host of other canon het and femslash pairings. Basically, it's about Rossi being Buffy's biological dad. From what I understand, writing this type of story is like a rite of passage.

So . . . anyone interested in being a cheerleader/beta reader? I would desperately like some help as I've never written Buffy before.
