CBS Sked For 07-08

Heading into the next season, this is what CM will be dealing with.

CBS:
8-9: KID NATION (reality show, likely to get cancelled quick)
9-10: CRIMINAL MINDS
10- AA: CSI: NY

ABC:
9-10: PRIVATE PRACTICE (the GREY'S ANATOMY spinoff, the talk about the backdoor pilot of it has not been complimentary and even the folks at ABC admit that it needs a lot of work).

NBC:
9-10: THE BIONIC WOMAN (the only name actors in the cast are Katee Sackhoff(BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Molly Price(THIRD WATCH) and Miguel Ferrer(CROSSING JORDAN), but it has a good production team behind it in David Eick(BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and Glen Morgan(SPACE ABOVE AND BEYOND). Still...I wouldn't be shocked if this show fades out quickly. And the people who would watch this aren't likely the sames one who would CM.

I wouldn't be so sure that there won't be overlap between Bionic Woman and CM. This is a dark re-imagining and the pilot at least is quite good (hard to tell what the regular episodes will be like from the pilot, tho).

I'm updating my grid as per usual as the announcements are made.

I agree--a number of my friends in SF fandom are also CM fans. I'll probably watch CM and tape the Bionic Woman so I can check it out.

The pilot doesn't appear to have been posted a a torrent just yet so I'll have to take your word on that.

Still, genre tends to turn off a lot of older viewers and CM certainly skewers older. It tends to consistently be the top rated scripted show on Wednesday nights, but it's below others in terms of the 18-49 demo.

I'll give it a watch almost solely based on the actors involved(Sackhoff and Price) and Glen Morgan being the showrunner, but I was never much a fan of the original. And considering that it only ran three years, well I wonder if there's enough base to sustain a re-imagining.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm interested in trying out both Private Practice and The Bionic Woman to see if they're any good ;) Of course, I'm not in the States so I don't really count anyway...

Dude, if CM can beat LOST, it can beat anything. I am so not worried.

CROSSING JORDAN got cancelled. Katee is just a recurring guest star on THE BIONIC WOMAN.

but in fact just the opposite. Reality is way cheap to make so even only decent ratings are still worth it.

thus they tend to have full play contracts.

on the plus, they are generally only half season gigs. thus opening up the slot for a mid season show etc
