Oh heck yes I remember at least one episode of Chicago Hope that showcased Patinkin's talent as a singer, he's certainly got a talented voice.

Oh my goodness! Trust me, you will know why I am laughing at about the 13 minute mark.

It's not purely a chick flick. It's got fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles!

It also has one of the GREATEST SWORD FIGHTS IN CINEMA EVER.

...um, no. The greatest sword fight in cinema means.... the greatest sword fight in cinema. Mandy is one of the two duelists. He and Cary Elwes worked with one of the greatest swordfight choreographers in the history of the world (I'm not kidding, this guy worked with Basil Rathbone and Errol Flynn).

The one in Rob Roy was realistic. This one is.... fantastic, in all senses of the word.

MONTOYA: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
WESTLEY: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.

there is this episode of Family Guy all about Peter needing to find an accountant, and he sings this song about needing a Jew (because, you know, there are a lot of Jewish bankers). it's terrible and hilarious.

it's OK...I'm part Jewish.

one day I got to talking with my parents about CRIMINAL MINDS. my dad said before he saw the show he didn't actually realize Mandy Patinkin was still acting. he though he'd just gotten into singing and left the world of acting.

mandy's music

mandy has done several broadway productions including back in the early 1990s he created the role of Archibald Craven in the musical version of The Secret Garden. stunning work. I saw it (school field trip) and it sealed my fate to be an actress. i got to work background in the finale ep and actually walked like 2 feet behind Mandy during a take. he's more handsome in real life.
