Question about Reid?

For those of you who are more eagle-eyed than I am- Does Spencer usually NOT carry a gun, or was that only during LDSK when he'd failed his proficiency, or am I just crazy? Cause I thought he didn't carry, but then in A Real Rain or whatever, he had one...

I believe he usually carries, except for that one instance in LDSK. I think most of them do.

I think a good part of it was he had failed his certification in LDSK - but after killing the unsub, he regained it back? I thought that was mentioned at the end, because he gave Morgan the whistle back.

He does usually carry. And it was Hotch, at the end of LDSK that tells Reid to keep his (Hotch's) spare gun, because as far as he (Hotch) was concerned Reid had passed his quals. I'm assuming it was up to Hotch whether or not Reid made his quals in the first place.

He normally carries, but in this ep he was without a sweater vest or jacket most of the time, so maybe it was more visible than it usually is.
He didn't carry in L.D.S.K because he failed the test, but in the end Hotch told him to keep the gun, and that as far as he (Hotch) was concerned, Reid had passed his qualification.

He's so adorkable! And this last ep, him wet with a gun- he looked like a total doofus!! (But I like that!)
