I'm terrible with canon, so I figured I'd come to the experts. What do we know about Morgan? Do know how he came to the BAU and what he was doing prior to that?

What about Garcia? Any info on her, either?

I think Morgan came from the DEA, but I'm not sure. We also know that he's a martial arts expert. I think we learned both these things in "The Fox" (the one with the unsub who held families hostage when they were about to go on vacation).

Garcia once made a throwaway comment about "because I didn't get into medical school", but I don't know if that was serious. There might be more in "Won't Get Fooled Again" (the one with the forger/bomber), because I remember Morgan explaining a lot of stuff to her in that one.

While we're on the subject, do we know anything about Reid's family? Did he have siblings? I'm thinking his parents were really distant, but I have no idea if that's canon or not.

As far as I can remember Reid's family has never been brought up [nor has anybody else's?]. I think everything we know so far is pretty much about him being a genious and one of the youngest [or was he actually the youngest?] FBI agents etc.

Since this show is quite close to "whodunnit?" shows, it's understandable that we don't know much about the characters' backgrounds. We'll probably find out little bits and pieces about them as the show progresses, especially since season 2 is now guaranteed.

As for Reid, I really want to say he has siblings, but I think I could totally be making that up. I remember he gave a nice rundown of himself in one ep--I think the one with the kidnapped girl. He was talking to the father, who was a bit skeptical abut Reid's age.

The latest episode just said that Garcia has a stepfather - where she got the last name Garcia from.
