Quick question, guys: Is Rossi more commonly referred to as David or Dave?  I'm pretty sure I've heard both, but if it's David, I'm pretty sure the fanart I've been working on is shot to hell. :(

It really sucked this semester because every monday I worked until 7, and didn't get home until about 7:20, so I missed most of the show! (it shows at 7 here). But yay for another HIMYM fan!

In his first ep, when Strauss brings him to Hotch's office, Hotch calls him Dave and when Hotch is introducing him to the team, Morgan calls him Agent Rossi, but Rossi says something like "Just Dave".

Well, see, that's what I thought too, but when I double checked, it sounded like David.
And when he introduced himself to Frankie Munez's character, he said David, but that could just be because he was talking to someone much younger than himself.
But thanks for your input. Looks like my art isn't a complete waste.

It was definitely Dave that Hotch called him and what he asked Morgan to call him--I'd wager on it. Both my step father and best friend's husband are Daves, so I hear the names a LOT! *G*

Struass called him David in Hotch's office--I can't remember what she called him in her office (and I can't check as my vids are at home on my comp). As for when he introduced himself to Muniz's character he was more formal and created distance because Muniz was a stranger--which isn't unusual for people (men perhaps more than women) whose names can be shortened. Or at least it isn't in my experience with friends and families with those types of names. (Although my step father, also a David, almost always introduces himself to people as Dave--but then again, he is retired. *G*)

But in the end, since he uses both versions of his name, I don't see why your art would be a waste, regardless of which one you used. Of course, you could always use "Rossi". *G*

Can't change it now, actually, because it's already been inked. Although, I may end up scrapping it anyway, since it got waaay too overloaded with detail.
Okay, so you got me curious. In her office, Strauss calls him David in her office, but I don't care about her since she's....well, I won't say. ;) As for when he's talking to Morgan, it's a little harder to tell, but I think you might be right, it might be "Dave." I had the same impression about the interaction with Muniz as you did, so that's no surprise, I just didn't know how to word it.
