Glad it's not just me. I'm not only amazed that people memorize them, but also remember what the names of secondary characters are. Even the one show that I'm fannish to the point of con-going, fic-writing, autograph-paying obsessiveness about didn't leave me with that ability.
My favorite favorite bit of the episode was Prentiss and JJ interviewing Carrie, and every bit of interaction that Prentiss had with Carrie after that...
I think this is one of the strongest episodes of Season Three. I'm rewatching the season with my OH as it is shown in the UK and he can be very critical and nitpicky - mainly because I'm such a fangirl about it all. But this one left him a bit gobsmacked and nodding, saying "yes, that's very good."
and hotch says something to the effect of, "i need to know you can stay focused on the job." and prentiss answers, "and i need to know that i'm still human."
oh, that scene makes me want to give emily such a hug.
Nitpicky me, but isn't this ep. 4 of season 3? I got a bit confuzzled! The episode names confuse me too, but scarily enough, I seem to go better by numbers. Buffy, kick me for picking. I'd gladly bear it to behold the wonderful blather! :)
So many bits in this that make me teary-eyed and just downright openly weepy. The case really seems to deeply effect everyone on the team, and emotions run high.
Another illustration too, of why Emily is a great character. She's human, she's flawed, she holds herself together so well but sometimes you see the true feeling seep through.
cycatryx, YES! The Hotch/Prentiss interaction here was great, pretty charged too. *squeals*
in this ep, but ANY scene between prentiss and hotch speaks to the prentiss/hotch shipper in me that's screaming to get out. (unfortunately, the big bad slash monster has her locked up quite securely, and is wearing the KEY on a string around his NECK.)
Let the slash monster free every now and again honey - I bet a secret bit of him is a Hotch/Prentiss shipper too, and he'll forfeit the key every now and again ;)
Sorry, above was me, logged out. And my grammar/spelling has gone to pot along with everything else. Effect is not affect Hopskotch *slaps self* Need more caffeine.
no worries about grammar or typos. *wavey hand* and YOU'RE RIGHT! this was ep 4 of season 3. *fixed*

no kicking! *twirls you instead* ♥

that is my fav kind of ep. when everyone is involved and equally invested.

*hearts emily* i know there's emily hate, but not from this gal.
Another episode in which an unsub targets whole families and like Fox it's a great one. The unsubs were so believable. As well as the surviving girl ("They killed us!" I thought that was quite powerful)
And I loved that Morgan and Emily got some more screentime here (and Morgan and the little boy at the end ... loved it!!!). I always felt like they were a bit underemployed in season 3. And Reid figured out the thing with the gun while eating at the latest crime-scene if I remember correctly. Reid is pure love. :-p
After watching this on TV again the other day, i just realized it's way better than i remembered. Much much more powerful...
yep. the first time i watched it i really liked it, but then i sort of forgot just how good it was. so when i re-watched, i was kind of taken by surprise.
But dad was snoring beside me so i'll have to watch it again where i can hear properly. But Emily rocked this ep.
