Season 4 Promo
Aug. 29th, 2008 02:05 amInformation on the first season 4 preview is under the cut. Yes, there will be spoilers.
CBS will unveil on Friday night its first major promo for the new season of Criminal Minds. Helping deliver the message with style will be veteran rockers AC/DC, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The TV spot, which will run in 30- and 60-second versions, is best described (by myself) as "goose bump-tastic," and is sure to tease hardcore viewers with fleeting images (watch a bloodied Hotchner collapse at the hospital!), flashes (see something else blows up!) and sound bites from the aftermath of the season finale SUV explosion that critically injured at least one and possibly two team members.
Laying the pulse-pounding foundation for the promo is AC/DC's "Rock 'N' Roll Train," from the band's first studio album in eight years, Black Ice (streeting Oct. 21).
As further testament to the significance of the new promos, Criminal Minds exec producer Ed Bernero edited them himself, a rare hands-on endeavor for a show runner. — Matt Mitovich
