Yay for google alerts! My hometown paper just published an article about 2/18's episode of Criminal Minds titled Zoe's Reprise which will take place in Cleveland, OH! {Fixed my typo, i did mean 2/18 not 3/18}

This really amuses me because I was just whining to mcgarrygirl78 about the lack of Cleveland/North Eastern Ohio episodes! Apparently they used Glendale homes and neighborhoods to double for Cleveland--I can see it if you subtract the palm trees (I'm going to school in so-cal right now).

they've hit Ohio a few times this season, first down south west in Angelmaker, then briefly and non-descriptly at the end of Bloodline with the other family and now this one.

i know they mention unsubs being "from" cleveland or Ohio a lot. Like it's a breeding ground for criminals or something hahaha

i remember that now but they were only briefly in cleveland after they determined that he'd hacked the system, didn't they? i have to rewatch that episode now.

I think so, I should rewatch too, after I finish my Dead Like Me craze, lol. Should be done with it in a couple days, then I will go back to rewatching CM :)

i can't find my season 1 of dead like me which isn't even mine, it's my brother's, how awful is THAT?

i just got life after death but i can't watch it yet, i'm still pissed they recast daisy.

I didn't know that they recasted Daisy, lol. Though I do know that Rube isn't in it *shakes head* Not sure yet if I am going to watch it...

Man, the similarities between Rube and Gideon are killing me (though Rube is less patient and curses a lot, more than slightly obsessed with food and *blushes* I am not so sure how heterosexual he is)...but other than that there are MANY similarities

Well Rube was married and had a child in his life... But *giggle* i can kinda see that. There are many similarities between Rube and Gideon. I think if CM was on Shotime, Gideon would curse more, too. ^_^

I know about the marriage and the child, but some of his comments vaguely imply him being bi...it's less of the specific comments themselves...more of an air about him maybe? I am only just finishing season 1, but so far I have felt it on a few occasions...the BEST, though I am not sure if he was being truthful or not was something like:

Daisy: I once blew Babe Ruth
Rube: Who didn't?

Yeah, they are both so caring and protective of their group, a father figure, deep, sensitive beneath the tough guy mask, sad...the list goes on.

I think Gideon would curse more too, but nothing like:

George: You can't smoke in here
Rube: Fuck that shit, they can blow me
LMAO

Me too. I have absolutely fallen in love with him, well, I am in love with Gideon too, for quite some time lol.

His impatience is what makes him unlike Gideon though, and Gideon doesn't smoke a pipe, though I could see it :P

Hee. I remember you saying that & used to live in Glendale until a few months ago - they filmed there more than once (and that's only the times I ran into the set). Parts of Glendale are very OH, I can't wait to see what area they used.

JJ says they shoot in Pedro alllll the time, I passed them shooting in the Glendale/South Pasadena area while I was driving my very drunk friends home from a bar off of Fig... they were shooting in an old tract house. It was pretty sweet, even just knowing I passed it (keeping in mind, it was huge business when Cleve-o doubled as NYC for Spiderman 3 filming, so it's still big potatoes for me to pass that stuff.)

This is exciting. Living (and grew up in Cleveland) there now. I got all excited when they did the Dayton, OH episode and knew which "college" they were referring to (although let me tell you when I say that the college was not a uptight as they were making it out to be). I was disappointed in the general lack of Air Force presence in the Dayton epi, because that's basically all there is in Dayton - colleges and the Air Force.

So, hoepfully there are no palm trees in Cleveland.

They're usually PRETTY good about not getting palm trees in if there shouldn't be... though there's one obvious palm tree in the background of the "Chicago" funeral scene in "Profiler, Profiled" and the very, very, very distinct Port of Los Angeles in "Honor Among Thieves" which takes place in... Maryland? I think... My girlfriend went to San Pedro High School, so imagine her surprise when it was North Mammon High School lol.
