what would you like to know about each character in the next season? or what would you like them to do?

Rossi: maybe something about one of his exes. or something from his own past besides unsolved cases.

Prentiss: what happened to make her so tough? that chick is super tough.

Hotch: how things are different for him now that he's a single dad

Reid: his home, i'm dying to know what it looks like, maybe a relationship. anything from his personal life, at all.

JJ: something from her past as well. she's sort of a mystery.

Morgan: when did he first kick down a door? how'd he get into doing that? i love his door-kicking.

Garcia: i'd like to see a crime in her hometown. where is she from? idk.

I want to see Reid with a damn girlfriend. They set him up a lot and always let him down. :( Bring back Austin, Austin was cute! (She's Brandon Routh aka Superman's real life wife, so she's GOTTA be)

They really need to delve into JJ's history (I think they said that was coming up?). Homegirl is so badass, I'd like to see where she came from.

I would like to see Nathan Harris's character somehow come back into the mix. Perhaps he's 'let out' of the hospital he's in and is someho (and wrongly) linked to a case the team gets called in on?

I would also like to see Reid with a significant other, but I know they'll screw it up.

I also agree with seeing JJ's backstory.

And I wouldn't mind seeing Reid's appartment, but I'm still holding out for no gf yet. Something about that character will find a way to piss me off, like all other "new girlfriends" to any story have and like how most minor characters in CM have. [Like, remember when they tried bringing Riley into CSI? Before she came in, in an interview Eric Szmanda said they were working on a girl for Greg for the next season. All she did throughout the show was make me want to punch her repeatedly and I can't tell you how happy I was when she didn't return.]

Morgan, I have no idea what I want to see from Morgan...honestly maybe a little more back story, but not much else. I've had a little too much Morgan lately, in my opinion.

Reid, I wanna see how that boy deals with his emotions, I wanna see how he's been dealing with the drug addiction, and I want to see a little more of his personal life whether it be his home or a significant other.

Prentiss, I want to see her breakdown and just let everything out for once. I know she's a very strong person, but everyone has their breaking points and I am patiently waiting for hers. I would love to see more about her past and her personal life as well.

Oh GOOD, it's not just me. Since around "Amplification" I've been wanting to reach through the monitor to smack him up and order him to get his hair fucking sorted out, you damn hippie! (Maybe we'll get a scene where his mother does that. Or, as my friend has suggested, maybe Reid will get abducted by an unsub whose fetish is to cut off the victim's hair. Anything will do at this point.)

That scene was amazing. We haven't had a having-fun-at-the-bar scene in far too long. :/

I would love Prentiss with a girlfriend. Especially if they brought Jordan back for it. Didn't Bernero hint some uncertainty about Emily's sexuality anyway? Personally I think every character Paget ever plays should be bisexual, as insurance for the insane chemistry she exudes with men, women, and even the plant pot in Strauss' office.

I'm a little hesistant with my desire to learn more about the characters. Reid's background/storyline has been pretty kickass, but some of the others I really scratching my head.

I agree that Prentiss is really tough, and I'm really fond of her, but I think her character profile is a little patchy and someone needs to do some work on it, especially if they intend to follow up on anything that touches what we learned in "Demonology".

BTW - Anyone know why her nose bled?

Ok, so here's what I would like to see:

Hotch: I'd like to see a smile that comes from the heart. And more Jack. And more Emily... oh no... never mind who am I kidding

Emily: I want to hear her speak Arabic xD And I want to see the nerd that she claimes she is

Dave: More sarcasm, more depth,less hero, more human

Morgan: naked please... but that also goes for hotch (for him propably even more so) I want to see his 4 properties and I want him to be with Garcia

Gibbs from NCIS also had 3 divorces, but it was four wives. the first one was murdered and i'd say that's why no other marriages worked. with any crime drama we're talking about long hours and days at a time being away. that's hard on anyone. but what exactly went wrong with Rossi would be great to know. and he's got no kids. that's a shame because that would be super interesting. remember Lenny's kid on Law and Order? or Brass's daughter on CSI? or that guy from Profiler? i could go on and on.

i also dislike Morgan's current woman. first because he belongs with Garcia imo, and second because it is inappropriate. but he was a terrific leader. if Hotch did step down he'd do great.

and maybe Hotch should. idk, he's a single dad now. if he were a woman in that position everyone would think he should step down.

*ahem* i'd like to see reid's home as well. it'd be interesting to see where he lives and how his living space is arranged. i imagine he has stacks of books everywhere and maybe a cat that comes and goes as it pleases. and it would be awesome if there was some plot or flashback or anything involving his mom. jane lynch is <3.

as far as backstory, i really think it's time for one of the women to get more attention. i don't feel like i know nearly as much about any of their backgrounds as i do about the men's.

I'm not really sure what I'd specifically like to see, but I think it would be cool to see a few long-term character arcs -- similar to The Reaper arc, but more character-centric. I don't want the show to turn into Lost or anything, but I'd kinda like to see more meaty characterization.

I second those who said they would like to see more of the backstory on the ladies of BAU.
A chance for Prentiss to use her language skills would be nice. I am partial to Arabic of course but I would take others. It would be bonus if the victim/victim's family and not the UnSub spoke Arabic, but that is my own personal peeve. :-)
I would like to see Reid's, Rossi's, and J.J.'s homes, even just in passing.
It would be nice if one of the men on the show could have some luck with a relationship for a change, again even if it also is in passing only.
I like having Will, Kevin, Jack, Henry, even Haley's sister (whose name I forget) in the background more. Also,, I am partial to continuity.
Speaking of such, where is Sean Hotchner? And while I understand the issues with Mandy Patinkin, could there please at some point be some mention of what happened to Jason Gideon once he left? It bothered me that neither of them was mentioned re: Haley's death. I know season one and two was a long while ago now in TV time, still...

i don't recall them touching too much on hate crimes. a show on hate crimes against Muslims would be interesting since it's sort of prevalent today. Emily's Arabic could be used then.

There was something to the point of that they never elaborated on Emily's sexuality. I'd like her to have a girlfriend (and be a lesbian) - with that teenage pregnancy and her Goth days, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I'd like to see how Hotch manages to be a single father and deal with the emotional backlash from the first half of the season. He does have Jessica (his ex-sister-in-law) for assistance but he's practically married to work.

Also, I'd like to know why Reid dressed better nowadays - did he just develop that taste on his own or did Morgan take him shopping?

Please don't screw up JJ's family life - I'd like one of them at least have a healthy family life. They've already screwed up two agents (Reid and Hotch).

yes, it is very rare for any agent on a crime drama to have a normal life. there is always divorce, one of their kids getting into trouble, or crime touching the home life. that even happened to Vance on NCIS. and his family was great.

As for the girls, I'd like some more back story ont hem but I have to say that one of my favorite things about Criminal Minds is that fact that the girls aren't the ones with the traumatic pasts driving them to go into law enforcement, inlike every other cop show ever. So yes, I'd like more backstory for JJ, Prentiss,and Garcia, but I worry that the show would try to explain them going into the FBI out of guilt or penance for their past. I like the fact that they're bad-ass chicks for no other reason than they simply are.

Hotch: To permanently step down as Unit Chief. Seriously. Your son lost his mother in a brutal murder, try and make one sacrifice for him and spend some time with him. I quite like Morgan as a leader, and to those who say he's not as good - well, the role's only just been thrust upon him.

Reid: Despite the hell load of Reid-fatigue the first four seasons have given us, there's something I'd like from Reid: his knowledge of pop culture. I think Holly Harold completely screwed it up with Reid not knowing Twilight or A Clockwork Orange in 5.07 Performer, given how he made a bloody Siouxsie and the Banshees reference to Prentiss in 3.19 Tabula Rasa. Admittedly that's music and not a film or book series (seriously, how lucky is he not to know this crap about Twilight? I'm still at school so I have friends that force me to attend the films), but still. And in 3.04 Children In The Dark he's familiar with the Cleavers!

Rossi: Aye, ex-wives galore. I can imagine this:
- one of them, like Haley, didn't get the job at all and was a terrible match for him (regardless of whether she was actually a lovely woman or not)
- one of them was actually a colleague (we know he's definitely fraternised with one, since JJ tells Garcia in Damaged that Rossi is the reason for fraternisation rules according to rumours she's heard) and it ended bittersweetly
- one of them was a snarky yet charming bitch that completely got him, but to a point where they were perhaps too similar, or wanted different things in life, so it ended. But they're still on good terms, and he occasionally calls her when he needs a good arse-kicking

Garcia: More on her parents. There've been scenes concerning drunk driving or parental loss and Garcia rarely gets to have a reaction shot or B plotline for them. We got a mere mention and montage of losing her parents in Penelope, and then it was only followed up on once in Hopeless, during a scene focused on Morgan. I want her to reminisce about her parents one day, just a little bit. Or find out what she did after her parents' death, while 'underground'. And those four step-brothers and that step-father, have they just been retconned completely?

JJ: God I want more stuff on her. Backstory, but preferably not a big tauma - I don't know why writers equate depth with trauma so damn much. You can be interesting with a good family too, for god's sake. I just really want a non-uterus-centric story for her, for once. And a scene with her and Morgan talking fanatically about football, with Reid (and possibly Emily) looking puzzled.

Prentiss: Does her father even exist? Hotch asks abouther parents in The Last Word, and she says they're fine but I'm willing to be that they'll retcon that somehow. Or perhaps they're just distant as hell bt, as far as she knows, her father is alright. I also want to know some more on her music tastes. And is she a lesbian? God I hope so, though is she were bisexual it would make more sense, given her chemistry with Det. Cooper in Lo-Fi and Mayhem.

Morgan: More on his 4 properties, his relationship with Tamara - we just know it's going to crash and burn, but hopefully in the process he can learn to open up, and understand that it only went wrong because of the relationship they had when they met, and the state she was in - wrong place, wrong time.

Really, really want Jordan to return and flirt with Emily some more. Also would be nice to see Sean Hotchner and Ambassador Prentiss again.
