How you got into the show?

How did you all get interested in Criminal Minds? Have you been watching it since the beginning? Did you have nothing else to watch and just stumbled across an episode and was hooked? What was you first episode? First impressions about the characters?

One of my friends talked about it a lot when it first came out but for some reason I kept ignoring it until I saw an episode on A&E a few months ago. I'm so unbelievably hooked on it now; I don't understand how I went so long without watching it.
