Slash pairings?

When you read Criminal Minds slash, what are your preferred pairings, and why? Hotch/Reid, Morgan/Reid, JJ/Prentiss...what do you gravitate toward?

Morgan/Reid. It just feels the closest to canon out of all the potential slash pairings. I can't slash Hotch. Just -- no. It makes no sense in my mind.

Since Reid is one of my favorite characters, I can read him paired with anyone het or slash. Morgan is a great character for him to be paired with, since their closeness is pretty much canon. Hotch on the other hand comes across as a controlled, emotionless character unless his family comes into play. I've read some really good Hotch slash, but I don't seek it out.

I can see Reid with just about anyone, slash or het, simply because everyone seems to love him so much, and he seems to love everyone. But the one that makes the most sense to me is with Gordon.

I prefer Hotch/Reid. I can read Reid/Morgan, but sometimes it turns me off, especially with Morgan's childhood. I love Rossi/Prentiss, and Morgan/Garcia.
My guilty pleasures are JJ/Hotch, Rossi/Hotch and for the mind boggling! Hotch/Morgan. I know, I'm weird, but I like to read almost every pairing that actually makes sense to me.

I honestly just can't even pick someone for Reid. I want to ship him with everyone. Though I suppose if I tallied up which I read the most, it'd be Reid/Morgan, but I'm totally open to all Reid pairings (slash or het). I also have a bit of a guilty pleasure for Reid/Gideon, though not in a sexual way.

Oh, and in the show, I totally ship JJ/Prentiss. I just don't read fic of them or actively ship them in fandom.

True, the deep pairing simmering away always gets me. I also have a thing for when they add Reid into the mix, OT3 - Hotch - Reid - Rossi, but any pairing of those three is good with me. Sometimes, though, it depends on the author, Innerslytherin and severity_softly did an AMAZING Reid/Rossi series that I can't get enough of.

Definitely Morgan/Hotch - two sexy men getting it together? What's not to like?! I know a lot of people like Morgan/Reid pairs, but I see their relationship more as big brother/little brother than completely equals if you will, whereas I see Morgan/Hotch as a pairing of equals.

I gravitate toward Morgan/Reid first because they're the reason I started watching the show. The first thing I ever watched of "Criminal Minds" their conversation at the end of "Conflicted" and was instantly intrigued by this show. Then, as I got to know the show I started seeing Hotch/Reid, Morgan/Hotch and (most recently) Rossi/Hotch. I don't really ship those three, but I wouldn't be adverse to reading fic about them, lol. I don't do femmeslash just in general but I can see why people would ship JJ/Prentiss.

Surprisingly, that's the only slash pairing I have for this show.

I know a lot of people like Reid/Morgan or Reid/Hotch but I just don't see it. The only main character I've ever shipped Reid with was JJ and that was only very early in the series. He just seems too young for the rest of them, more like their kid brother than a love interest.

Then again, I only have two 'ships for this show (and this from someone who is a notorious ship-whore!): JJ/Emily and Morgan/Garcia.

hee, i have always wondered why slash pairings seem to be so much more popular than the het pairings.

i, personally, can't buy morgan slash (the guy just LOVES WOMEN), and my guilty and complete OTP on the show is hotch/emily. but i totally bought and loved the jordan/emily people.

clearly i'm an outsider here, but i'm used to that with my pairings. ;)

Morgan/Reid, because upon first glance they seem so opposite, but when you watch things like "Elephant's Memory" they have this connection. That and Morgan always seems to want to protect Reid, and it's sweet to me. :)

Favourite 'minor' character pairing. Only minor pairing, truly, that I like. Amanda/Adam/Reid is AMAZING and just makes me happy to read. Midnight-malaga just wrote a new one, and there are so few they should all be treasured.

I really don't understand Hotch/Reid. They have a lot of moments of working together, and, of course, there's their hug at the end of "Revelations," but everything between them that I've seen used as evidence of a shippy connection just seems more like Hotch's tendency towards being parental with the team coming out in full force with Reid, who is the youngest, and the most danger-prone, and needs the most guidance in coping with the difficult situations that the team encounters.

I am, however, also very, very biased because I like Reid best with Morgan or Prentiss (or both, or Garcia, or Kevin, or Garcia and Kevin, or Elle, or Tobias or Adam/Amanda or maybe Nathan Harris if they're done well… or, really, with anyone but Gideon [since theirs is more a father/son relationship to me], JJ [it's kind of cute, in an unreturned crush way, for a bit… but past the early first season, they're obviously more brother/sister], or Hotch), and I like Hotch best with Haley or Rossi.

I wish there were more femmeslash with Garcia in it, to be honest; I love her and Kevin, but I get more Garcia/Emily vibes than I do Emily/JJ ones (though I do get those, too), and… Kevin/Garcia/Emily, anyone? Garcia and Kevin are a happier and more stable couple than we get anywhere else (except, you could argue, Hotch/Haley and Gideon/Sarah… but look how those both ended up; Garcia and Kevin have their natural ups and downs, but they get the happy ending that Hotch/Haley and Gideon/Sarah didn't get), and I could see them trusting each other and being open to experimentation enough to have a threesome with a trusted friend… like Emily.

I'm such a huge Reid/Morgan fan, I have to write them. But I find it kind of hard to find fics that keep them equal. Different skill sets sure, but equal all the same. Well, when you can't find it, you write it!

Same for Hotch/Garcia. Hard time finding them, so I'm WIPing a couple of fics for them. Anyone got any suggested recs for those two pairings? I completely demolished ffn and here for them, but maybe you guys know some that I don't. LOL.

I like Reid/Hotch. It's hard to explain why, there is just something between them. There is a connection and understanding which is deeper than with the rest of the team. It's hard to explain but i can just see it.


I can sometimes see Reid/Morgan but to me, its more of a older brother/baby brother thing.

Rossi/Reid, it depends on the fic and the episode to be honest, it is not something i can see all the time.

Giedon/Reid, no, shivers, just no.
