In this week's issue of TV Guide they had a little writeup about the upcoming episode that's going to introduce the spinoff cast.

Mods did I tagged this right?

i have high hopes for the spin-off.
i don't think i'll like it more than the original, i love this cast way too much but i'm not knocking it yet.

I have high hopes for it to. It sounds like the spin off will give Criminal Minds another dimension and I like that.

Mary Steenburgen! She better have scenes with Joe Mantegna. A little Joan of Arcadia reunion.

YES! And I may be more amused than I should at the idea that they cast Amber Tamblyn as a victim or unsub in the crossover episode. =P

I've read a draft of the "pilot" script, and it's not nearly that bad as I thought it would be. But then again, it's probably changed a lot since the version I read.

Okay, you can't just tease us with that and not share how you got the draft of the script!!!!

Lets just say it's out there.

To be honest, I think I'd only watch it for Mary Steenburgen and Forest Whitaker. It sounds a bit like the NCIS spin off with the operating outside the bureaucracy thing...

I still think it sounds Criminally Mindless

(And you missed an entry tag but I'll tidy that up now, no worries!)

Hmm...I really want to stay hopeful about the spin-off, I really do, but I've just seen so many mistakes in the past...

And Criminal Minds without my adorable Reid?! Haha...just kidding. :)

I'm still not sold on the 'working outside of FBI bureaucracy' idea but oh well, we'll see.

I'm a doubter but I love Forest, he's a fabulous actor. And YES to no Robe Stinkin' Lowe. That alone earns the series a look.

I've been interested in seeing this since it was first announced, and the characters seem quite interesting. Can't wait until April!
