Favorite TV Show: Criminal Minds, of course, of course.
Other Shows Watched: Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Amazing Race, Big Bang Theory, America's Next Top Model, 16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom.
Favorite Color: Purple.
If I was a criminal, I'd be... Umm...someone doing it out of medical curiosity, like studying people with unusual ailments or anatomy. Maybe with poison.
I may or may not have already posted an introduction, but I figured I'd post it again and introduce myself to everyone again...because I could really use some help. You know how some women get like "baby brain" when they get pregnant/when they have babies in the house? Well, I happen to live in a dayhome with six babies every day...so I have my own version of "baby brain". Anyway, the point is...that has severly damaged my ability to write.
So, I could really really use someone to sort of bat ideas back and forth with and help me...I don't even know. (Is it bad that I can't even write this?) I need like a sounding board or a thought organizer or something. Not really a beta, but sort of along those lines.

If I was a criminal, I'd be... A completely ineffective one... I'm too chicken to lie, let alone do anything else morally wrong.
My mom got me hooked on Criminal Minds a few weeks ago, and since then I've been watching it almost non stop. I can't believe I've been missing it all these years. Glad to be here and looking forward to getting to know you all :)

If I was a criminal, I'd be...someone who didn't get caught? ;) I'd probably be a bibliomaniac...
I've only see a handful of episodes and the last two weeks of the current season. I just started watching thanks to A&E and I'm in the process of catching up (I'm up to 1x19 right now).
In areas of my life, I'm a graduate student in Library Science and I'm focusing on archives. I work two part-time jobs as well. I've know about what was the BAU for a long time (I'm a huge fan of John Douglas and Mark Olshaker) and it's always interested me.
Favorite TV Show: Criminal Minds
Other Shows Watched: Not many, to be honest. Although, I was a huge House MD fan for a while a couple years back.

If I was a criminal, I'd be... A serial arsonist. I've never really been afraid of fire. I find it quite fascinating actually.
I also wanted to post a little oneshot. So, here it is.

Favorite Quote: This is a very difficult question -- I love quotes. Dangit... Uhh...Ah! Got it! Here:
Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What have we got to hold on to, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
It's absolutely true -- the best stories are full of darkness and danger, and the heroes do have the chance to turn back, but they don't. It's also why I want to be a writer; writers find those heroes, and that darkness and danger, and we put two and two together to make fish.
Favorite Color: Maroons, dark reds. They're calming; comfortable.
If I was a criminal, I would be... I'd be a serial killer. But I think that I'd be short-lived -- I'm prone to overthinking things, and I'm horrible when my plans for anything are thrown off. Any profiler, hell, any cop worth their salt would get me within a week after they connect the crimes.
So, uhm, yeah. I'm participating over at crimeland (if you've not heard, it's a competition community where members are divided into four teams, and challenges are posted, and each team tries to get the most points within a given "case." We're on case six. If you join, and mention me in your sign-up, my team -- Team Reid -- gets extra points.), and I missed the deadline for the crossover challenge, so I figured I'd post the fic I wrote for that here.
Fandom: CM/Star Trek
Pairings: implied Kirk/Spock, implied one-sided Reid/Kirk.
Summary: When Kirk and Spock go shopping for materials for Spock’s “stone knives and bearskins” computer during “City on the Edge of Forever,” they run into a young shopkeeper.
Author's Note: As you may have noticed, I'm a rampant slasher. Please forgive me if this seems too strange for a first offering!

If I was a criminal, I'd be... A murderer, plain and simple. Purely for the research, preparation, aftermath and my morbid curiosity. I can’t help it, I tend to wonder about things like that X) Probably the reason I get giddy every time a friend asks my help to flesh out a 'bad guy' for her stories—I like the psychology behind the act.
Favorite TV Show(s): Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead, House
Other Shows Watched: Bones, CSIx3, L&Ox3 and many more. Pretty much anything dark and with blood and gore.

If i were a criminal I'd be: looking for someone to give me an alibi for the time I allegedly committed a crime of passion.
Etc. I've been lurking and reading pretty much every fic out there for the past couple of months. So I figured it's time to join and join in. I don't write frequently, but when I do it's from a burning urge to get it out of my head.
Fandom Age: 10ish. I joined my first posting board in 2000-2001, then LJ in 2003.
Fannish Location: Crossposting between Dreamwidth and LiveJournal.
Favourite Fandoms: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and (recently) Harry Potter.
Shows I'm Watching: Criminal Minds, Castle, due South. I'm reading fic for CM and dS, though I haven't become quite as fannish about them as I am about SG-1/SGA.
Favourite Quote: "Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn." ~ C.S. Lewis. In the tag for "Risky Business" (5x13), JJ paraphrases the quote slightly: "Experience is a brutal teacher. But you learn, my God do you learn." *cuddles JJ* *cuddles Hotch*
Favourite Characters: JJ, Prentiss, Hotch. But I love them all, really. (I've only seen one ep with Seaver in it, so I'm reserving judgment.)
If I was a criminal, I'd be... a cereal killer. Heh.
I only started watching CM a year ago, but I quickly fell in love with the fantastic characters and the smart, smart writing. When I heard A.J. Cook was being let go, I wanted to stop watching entirely. But JJ's goodbye episode was wonderful and a real tearjerker, and it sucked me back in. At least I still have Emily for now, and more Garcia. CM is still a good show and I hope I'll warm up to Seaver... though she'll never replace JJ in my heart.
I ship Hotch/JJ a little, but I actually like all the canon pairings--in small helpings. For CM fic, I prefer gen over het/slash. (In most of my other fandoms, however, I'm primarily a slasher. I've also written slash, het, and gen.)
If you guys have fic recs for plot-driven gen or plot-driven anything (except Reid-slash, sorry), please hook me up! I've been jonesing for good casefile fic!

If I was a criminal, I'd be... ...the one stalking you just to get to know you better.
:D Hi guys. I just got into Criminal Minds a little over a year ago, but I really dove into it about four months ago after putting it off and being busy with other things that I shan't discuss. (Unless you want to hear it.)
Also, I was just curious, but... does anyone on here role-play or USE Twitter? Just wondering, because yesterday I took the liberty of converting an old account that had a lot of bad memories-- into a new one for a certain Unit Chief. Since I write fan fiction, I figured this could be a way to try and get into his head, and as such, maybe roleplay with some other people here.
Or, if you'd just like some more information or have any questions, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
And while I'm here, I guess I should introduce myself to y'all...

Favorite Quote: "The thing about childhood is that nothing makes sense. You have no idea what half the jokes on sitcoms are about, Bugs Bunny keeps making references to WWII-era European dictators you don't recognize, and Hot Wheels always manage to go around the loop-the-loop just fine on the commercials. So you just relax and go along with it, and fifteen years later you look back on the things that confused you and say 'Ah! Yes! It makes perfect sense now!'" - Lore Sjoberg

If I was a criminal, I'd be...: Matthew Gray Gubler's stalker. Just kidding of course. ;)
I would like to say this community is amazing and the people here are really cool. I've been watching [stalking--I have an issue with stalking ;) lol] this community for a long while now and it always makes me happy when I read the discussion posts and see the talents presented here...(i.e. icons...) I always smile when there is a new post. And after finally getting the nerve (I'm horrible self-conscious) I thought I would introduce myself and bring up a question I had about the timeline of the show.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked; I went through the tags and didn't spot it. If I missed it could someone direct me to it please?
I'm writing a fanfiction story and would like to stay as faithful to the show as possible. Is there an established timeline for the show? I've been doing some math and I have come up with vast years, dates, etc...Does anyone have any theories about when the show takes place? Like what years each season takes place? I've spent so much time trying to figure this out and decided I should come here to the experts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
And, I'm not a natural English speaker so I apologize in advance.
