Paget signs a deal

Brewster just closed a deal to return to the veteran CBS crime drama, and she will be in almost every episode next season. But Cook, whose option for next season was not picked up, will be gone after wrapping her character J.J.'s storyline in two episodes early next season.

I hear Brewster's pact is for 10 out of 13, which means that she will be in nearly every episode. The actress had been approached to continue as a regular on the show but for a reduced number of episodes; now the reduction seems to be pretty small.

For some reason, I was thinking Mary's never been seen sister, but that wouldn't go over well. I wouldn't even like that!

I swear I remember in Kid's Shouldn't Play with Dead thing, Dean mentions an uncle, but I have no idea which parent he was referring to had a brother. But the writers probably forgot that tidbit.

I believe he said "her uncle" referring to Mary's uncle, so cousin? Who's a hunter? I could see her as an awesome hunter the boys run across occasionally.

Very bitter about that too. Although, that was my second favorite episode of SPN when they died.

It's mentioned in the John Winchester journal (which I know conflicts with canon on other points and isn't considered canon), or so my stepdaughter tells me. Apparently it was Mary's great uncle and they mention back in S3 (Ruby does) that Mary's entire family was killed off to "hide" it (whatever that means). And that's also echoed in the JW journal--that her great uncle who buried her was killed shortly after Mary was.
