Hello! I'm a newbie in this years-old fandom I should have joined ages ago. I've seen headers and icons containing CM characters - most notably Dr. Reid - but I wasn't really interested until I saw an episode a few weeks ago. It was the thing about Haley, too, which was a horrible place to start (truthfully, it was Reid's quickfire delivery of the phone conversation word for word that hooked me) but it finally got me into buying DVDs and marathoning the five seasons. What actually made me stay is, obviously, the nerdy Spencer Reid and his nerdier clothes. I miss his old clothes, by the way, and his glasses. I am not ashamed to say that my entire thing revolves around men who are skinny, geeky, intelligent, awkward and tall with dark, amazing hair and bad fashion sense. Smart is so sexy and smart with weird? <3333333

Eh, sorry for the long introduction post! I hope to have plenty of CM friends to geek out with. I'm also a Reid/Morgan shipper, just to put it out there *wink*

In the first few episodes they don't really click, but then we have some epic scenes. The tackling one is awesome, I especially love how Reid is completely oblivious of what is going on



And Derailed... he even helped him put on the kevlar. Not to mention The Popular Kids, when Reid talks to Morgan about his nightmares. And that's just S1. I think my favorite scenes are from S4, though. The one at the end of Conflicted, I was kinda hoping they would kiss, eheh. And then of course Amplification: Reid saying he's sorry, Morgan refusing to leave Reid's side, freaking out for the entire episode, and the Jell-O scene. ♥

I've got to admit that I kept on replaying that scene repeatedly and giggling like a schoolgirl. Yes, oblivious!Reid is one of my favorite things ever in the show. Like that comment JJ gave when she was singing the sitting-in-a-tree rhyme about Garcia and Kevin (which backs up my theory that Reid is kind of inexperienced - or maybe he just really didn't know that one 0.0)

Also, Morgan saying 'anything' without hesitation just makes me melt every single time. But I was sorely disappointed when Morgan just looked at him at the end of Revelations, after being blatantly worried and punching palls. Where are the hugs, Morgan? Perhaps in your apartment after Reid was cleared by the doctor?

There's just something really special about MGG's face, imho. Also, how much do I love the fact that he was a model? ♥ The icon is definitely a credit to the maker (shamefully, I don't know who *shameface*)

And yes. There were definitely sexy, sexy hugs later that night. They probably hugged all night long. *halo*

*cackles* Excellent! But seriously, the Reid playing a long, drawn out joke on the team is such a part of my head canon that it even pops up in my fics. And if I inspired sexy hugs, then I'm so beyond okay with that. ;)

I'm guilty of doing that too. And not only with that particular scene, lol.

I am kind of conflicted about Reid being inexperienced or not. On the one hand, I really think he never had a relationship. When Lila kisses him back in S1, it looks like he's never done that before, or very few times anyway. And then we never see him involved with anyone. But on the other hand, I also think that he plays more naive than he really is. Sometimes, at least.

The end of Revelations was a bit disappointing, but there's a short fic by lagolindari about the reasons why Morgan didn't hug him right there. (Because no one can change my mind about the fact that he DID hug him later, in private)

I love the expressions he makes. ♥ I was just telling a friend earlier how his most recent interview made me laugh more than Modern Family this week.

His naiveté and obliviousness actually makes sense with his character, though. I mean, he went to high school before he even hit his teens and we all know that high school is really where we exercise and solidify social relationships and consciousness. Then he hit college during his teens and was pretty much focused on his education from the get go. Plus, if he was awkward as a 24 year old, how much more awkward must he have been as a 16 year old?

Though maybe he does experiment and go out a few times but I'd like to think he's naive, but not incredibly so.

Expressions! His eyebrows and mouth are the most expressive eyebrows and mouth I've ever seen. A single pull or pout can reveal so many emotions!
