I miss Reid's old clothes and glasses too, but I have to say that what I miss the most is his old hair. It was just so pretty. :( Of course you are. We just established that you have good taste. ;)

Oh hello! I am also bouncing in my chair because you understand my taste in men! I so rarely find that in actual life and fandom life. Honestly, the big, beefy bodies kind of creep me out a little bit (though I do think Morgan has a very well-proportioned one).

I totally get that Reid is like, growing more comfortable in his own skin and building confidence and I'm so happy for him but those god-awful clothes! I miss them! He's actually wearing the trendy side of nerdy design, in my opinion, but he's kind of less quirky and awkward in the later seasons and it brings sadness to my heart D:

Oh, his hair! I actually do love the hair in season 2 compared to the first one. Long hair is really pretty but shorter hair just brings out his gorgeous face. Though I do adore his hair in season 6; it's very fluffy-looking!

I've actually read your stories and loved them! I've been meaning to write R/M but I have no idea how. The other fandoms I've written for have generally generic personalities but CM characters actually have distinct voices, especially Reid and Morgan (and Hotch). Eh, whatever, it'll come eventually.

I don't get how anyone could not like tall, skinny, geeky guys. :D Morgan's a hotty, but most of my love goes to Reid, hands down.

I'm happy that they're making him more confident, and I get that an increase in confidence can make you experiment more with your appearance, but if they don't put that boy back in a sweater vest and his coke bottle glasses soon, I'm going to have a seriously pouty moment.

I'm not a huge fan of his season one hair, but I adored his long, wavy hair. Didn't hurt that it was the perfect length for Derek to really grab on to and maybe yank on a bit... (Fangirl fantasies? Me? Perish the thought!)

Thank you so much! My suggestion, if you want it, is to just start writing. If you feel like it's completely out of character, then nothing says you have to post it, but you can't really improve as a writer-and being able to write distinct character voices is a BIG part of being a good writer imo-unless you're actually writing. Find someone willing to beta for you who will call you out if you do something OOC, and just have fun with it. :)

Haha, that is definitely my thought process. I keep on thinking: please let this be the episode where Reid goes back to his grandpa-clothes and coke bottle glasses. I miss his sweaters and tweed jackets. I'm just glad they left his pants alone.

Ah, hair. I really do prefer the shorter hair where it curled a little bit at the back and the bangs fell over his eyes if he ducked down. Oh no, I'm not picturing that at all.

I won't lie. I have a total kink for the nerdy college professor look. Put some elbow patches on a tweed jacket and I'm in heaven, and Reid just looks so GOOD in those clothes. Maybe it's time for a petition?

Reid/Morgan didn't really click for me until I saw the L.D.S.K episode when Morgan tackled an oblivious Reid for safety reasons - and of course, the Derailed episode when Morgan refused to let Reid go into that train.

In the first few episodes they don't really click, but then we have some epic scenes. The tackling one is awesome, I especially love how Reid is completely oblivious of what is going on

And Derailed... he even helped him put on the kevlar. Not to mention The Popular Kids, when Reid talks to Morgan about his nightmares. And that's just S1. I think my favorite scenes are from S4, though. The one at the end of Conflicted, I was kinda hoping they would kiss, eheh. And then of course Amplification: Reid saying he's sorry, Morgan refusing to leave Reid's side, freaking out for the entire episode, and the Jell-O scene. ♥

I love your icon, by the way.

I've got to admit that I kept on replaying that scene repeatedly and giggling like a schoolgirl. Yes, oblivious!Reid is one of my favorite things ever in the show. Like that comment JJ gave when she was singing the sitting-in-a-tree rhyme about Garcia and Kevin (which backs up my theory that Reid is kind of inexperienced - or maybe he just really didn't know that one 0.0)

Also, Morgan saying 'anything' without hesitation just makes me melt every single time. But I was sorely disappointed when Morgan just looked at him at the end of Revelations, after being blatantly worried and punching palls. Where are the hugs, Morgan? Perhaps in your apartment after Reid was cleared by the doctor?

There's just something really special about MGG's face, imho. Also, how much do I love the fact that he was a model? ♥ The icon is definitely a credit to the maker (shamefully, I don't know who *shameface*)

I'm guilty of doing that too. And not only with that particular scene, lol.

I am kind of conflicted about Reid being inexperienced or not. On the one hand, I really think he never had a relationship. When Lila kisses him back in S1, it looks like he's never done that before, or very few times anyway. And then we never see him involved with anyone. But on the other hand, I also think that he plays more naive than he really is. Sometimes, at least.

The end of Revelations was a bit disappointing, but there's a short fic by

lagolindari about the reasons why Morgan didn't hug him right there. (Because no one can change my mind about the fact that he DID hug him later, in private)

I love the expressions he makes. ♥ I was just telling a friend earlier how his most recent interview made me laugh more than Modern Family this week.

His naiveté and obliviousness actually makes sense with his character, though. I mean, he went to high school before he even hit his teens and we all know that high school is really where we exercise and solidify social relationships and consciousness. Then he hit college during his teens and was pretty much focused on his education from the get go. Plus, if he was awkward as a 24 year old, how much more awkward must he have been as a 16 year old?

Though maybe he does experiment and go out a few times but I'd like to think he's naive, but not incredibly so.

Expressions! His eyebrows and mouth are the most expressive eyebrows and mouth I've ever seen. A single pull or pout can reveal so many emotions!

Hi!! I'm new as well, and anyone who has love for Dr. Reid is a-okay in my books!!! I also enjoyed his old-school grandpa-chic attire in the first few seasons (especially when he'd pair it with the Chucks. What a visual oxymoron!) but I'm also loving the recent tailored look as well. Though, did you notice the epic purple shirt/tan sweatervest combo on last night's ep? I believe that's the same combo that features in the group shot at the end of the opening credits. That was a bit of a throwback.

And the messenger bag! I thought it was gone until it made a triumphant reappearance in "JJ". Almost sent me through the roof with joy.

Okay. That's enough fangirling for one comment. It's really nice to meet you; I am also trying to make more CM friends, so yeah... welcome!!!

The messenger bag! God, this is my whole love affair with Reid: tall, skinny, a genius, awkward, socially inept, preeeeetty, awful grandpa-clothes, pants, glasses, watch over sleeves and messenger bag. I miss that entirety of him! Le sigh...
