Hello! I'm a newbie in this years-old fandom I should have joined ages ago. I've seen headers and icons containing CM characters - most notably Dr. Reid - but I wasn't really interested until I saw an episode a few weeks ago. It was the thing about Haley, too, which was a horrible place to start (truthfully, it was Reid's quickfire delivery of the phone conversation word for word that hooked me) but it finally got me into buying DVDs and marathoning the five seasons. What actually made me stay is, obviously, the nerdy Spencer Reid and his nerdier clothes. I miss his old clothes, by the way, and his glasses. I am not ashamed to say that my entire thing revolves around men who are skinny, geeky, intelligent, awkward and tall with dark, amazing hair and bad fashion sense. Smart is so sexy and smart with weird? <3333333

Eh, sorry for the long introduction post! I hope to have plenty of CM friends to geek out with. I'm also a Reid/Morgan shipper, just to put it out there *wink*

I don't get how anyone could not like tall, skinny, geeky guys. :D Morgan's a hotty, but most of my love goes to Reid, hands down.

I'm happy that they're making him more confident, and I get that an increase in confidence can make you experiment more with your appearance, but if they don't put that boy back in a sweater vest and his coke bottle glasses soon, I'm going to have a seriously pouty moment.

I'm not a huge fan of his season one hair, but I adored his long, wavy hair. Didn't hurt that it was the perfect length for Derek to really grab on to and maybe yank on a bit... (Fangirl fantasies? Me? Perish the thought!)

Thank you so much! My suggestion, if you want it, is to just start writing. If you feel like it's completely out of character, then nothing says you have to post it, but you can't really improve as a writer-and being able to write distinct character voices is a BIG part of being a good writer imo-unless you're actually writing. Find someone willing to beta for you who will call you out if you do something OOC, and just have fun with it. :)

Haha, that is definitely my thought process. I keep on thinking: please let this be the episode where Reid goes back to his grandpa-clothes and coke bottle glasses. I miss his sweaters and tweed jackets. I'm just glad they left his pants alone.

Ah, hair. I really do prefer the shorter hair where it curled a little bit at the back and the bangs fell over his eyes if he ducked down. Oh no, I'm not picturing that at all.

I can actually hear their voices in my head but they're not translating to actual words yet. I'll get there! <3

I won't lie. I have a total kink for the nerdy college professor look. Put some elbow patches on a tweed jacket and I'm in heaven, and Reid just looks so GOOD in those clothes. Maybe it's time for a petition?

Hm, I have a total kink for that too. I love reading hot professor/student stories, negl, and Reid just fits the bill oh so perfectly. Yes, I think a petition is in order...I haven't even seen his satchel that often in season 5 DDDDDDDDDDD:
