 As some of you may know, the spin-off will be airing its first episode Wednesday, Feb 16th. I know views about the show are on both sides of the fence around here, but I was wondering if you guys would like an episode discussion thread for the spin-off as well. This community is dedicated to Criminal Minds so I don't think it'll be a regular thing, but there's Garcia and some of you still wanted to give it a chance.[Poll #1679561]

The idea was that people might like to see the first ep and talk about it. I don't even know if there's a comm for that show yet. And Garcia's in it.

I'd say do one for the first episode, especially since Garcia is going to be in it, then wait and see if any comms pop up for the show after it airs. The general consensus I've seen in other comms is that the CM fan base isn't really looking forward to this spinoff, however.

I'm going to be weird and say even though I don't plan on watching the show, I still want a discussion post. I may end up downloading the ep just to see what's what, and I'd be interested to see what people here had to say about it (I trust you all's opinions, okay?)

I hope the spin-off dies a gruesome death, as much as I love Garcia, Nina Tassler admitting it was because of the spin-off that they started messing with our show, sealed it for me.

1 and 2 are basically the same choice so I didn't vote.

I'd change the second one to - Yes, but just for the first (or first few) eps to give it a test drive or something. Because that would be my choice. And then ppl who've watched can figure out what to do from there?

I'd say put it up, maybe just to test it out? I mean, I don't participate in any of the discussions (I'm really bad at being online at the right now, so I usually read through a day (or two) later). But I don't think everyone should automatically reject it without having seen it.

Maybe do it for the first few episodes and see how it goes from there?

Forgive me because I am a newly fan of Criminal Minds, in which Netflix is already introducing me to season 3 as we speak (so apparently I have A LOT to catch up).

I JUST understand that this spinoff will only have Garcia, but the rest are gone?? I wish I understand why they would fix somethings that aren't broken. At least do a Spin off with a different destination or something along those lines, but taking the charaters away?

Considering any discussion will just end up being a giant ball of biased, pre-judgy complaining, I almost don't see the point. I think most people have their opinions already.

I don't participate in discussions anyway, mainly because I'd never be able to focus on the show if I was discussing it at the same time, lol, but I personally think at least trying it wouldn't be that bad. Theoretically.
