Okay, I don't want to start a fight, but I am very, very confused.

I don't understand Gideon. 

Like, at all.  He doesn't seem to like anyone, he's kind of a grumpy old man.  I seriously don't get him.  I've seen every episode, so anything I'm  missing is my fault.  I just...don't get him.

So, tell me about him.  Any Gideon fans out there that want to enlighten me??  I'm seriously just baffled.
