UPDATE: CBS' 'Criminal Minds' Cuts Female Cast But Will Add New Female Cast Member

UPDATE TUESDAY 11AM: A source close to CBS stressed that the casting changes on Criminal Minds were a creative, not financial decision, and a way to "refresh a veteran drama series." A new regular female cast member will be brought in sometime next season to fill the void that will be left by Cook's departure.

He's making a joke! Like it's not as big a deal as we're making it out to be. If she was being dropped and didn't want to be, why would he joke around? I'm sad either way, but it's better if she's leaving of her own volition. yeah. :(
