An attempt at conversation

In the last episode comment posting in this community, some folks lamented the general atmosphere of crickets here, and then a_blackpanther suggested that some members might want to discuss more general themes related to the show, sooooooo... yeah, I decided to do a thing. And since things can be daunting for some, I decided to fill the thing with fun little checkboxes because who doesn't like checking things off, amirite?

Below is a poll with lots of questions that hopefully encourage a little back and forth. Feel free to expand on your opinions in the comments section, okay?

Well, I did not plan on commenting, but since I checked once I'll explain in comment, I don't have other choice ;)

First, I enjoyed all your opinions, thank you so much for sharing them, guys :) Now about the answers:

I love all the characters. I loved Garcia, Morgan, Reid and Gideon from the very beginning. I didn't care much for Hotch and Elle and JJ at first. I disliked Prentiss and despised Rossi and Strauss when they first appeared. But all the characters grew on me over the show. I came to love Prentiss and Rossi a lot, and was deeply saddened by Strauss's death. I enjoyed A LOT Seaver and I like Blake. So basically, I checked mostly all the characters ;)

I'm a crime/procedural junkie and when I stumbled upon CM episode on TV (the North Mammon from s.2) I got hooked. I stopped watching after Mandy left (Gideon, sob!), but returned to the show before season 7 and watch it regularly now. I'm fascinated by serial killers from psychological point of view, why they do what they do plus, I love mysteries and trying to figure out what's going on (who? why? when? etc...)

I enjoy the season a lot and at the beginning of this season CM was the only show I truly tuned in to watch, which hasn't been happening for the last two seasons as well as for my other fav shows (Bones, The Big Bang Theory) this fall.

I tune in for the bad guys and intriguing un-subs, that's why I'm really pissed off when we see the unsub during the first five minutes of the episode...

What I could do without, well, as I mentioned above, the reveal of unsub at the beginning of the episode, BUT, I'm even more irritated with storyline that are given to Reid. I love the character, but really, can't he have a happy ending for once? I was so PEEVED with the Meave storyline and so disappointed at the repetition of the angst. Gosh, this truly piss me off! Also I hate what they did with JJ. She's my least fav character at the moment. I actually wouldn't mind her being gone, she so- unrelatable/unlikable right now.

I want another season because I like and enjoy the show and I would still watch it even if someone of the cast left. I might have a hard time getting over Reid/Garcia/Morgan/Hotch/Rossi leaving but I survived Prentiss and Strauss, so I know I'll manage.

While I do enjoy the character drama and understand the need for it, I find it VERY unrealistic. Especially Reid's storylines. Hotch played out well IMHO, but Garcia's went a little over the top... I don't care much for JJ, so... But I liked a LOT Morgan's.

While i hope no one leaves, I wouldn't miss JJ much, nor Cruz. The rest better stay on the show!
