The case for CSI:NY sounds interesting. Actually sounds like one of the eps where i'd be thinking "Why haven't they called in the BAU?" and counting up mistakes Hotch & Co. would have avoided.
i do kind of hope it goes down the William being a pedophile route, because i'm sick and love reid abuse lol. but at the same time i know it won't because it would fuck with the continuity. William didn't abandon Reid and his mother until Reid was about 8 (via "Revelations") and the keyword is "abandon", because he left of his own will and no one forced him out. Diana clearly knows what happened and she was so scared for Reid's safety that she made them change houses. It would not make sense that she would stay with the source of danger for the next four years, and then even ask William to take Reid with him when he left.
i'm kind of scared it will end up being really anti-climatic at the end and and having it be that william just found the body or something, because i can't see his father being the one who could hurt reid if they stuck to continuity. diana may be not well, but one thing you can't say about her is that she'd ever leave reid in danger.
I am so excited for this episode! Plus, I think we're going to see JJ and baby :D! But at the same time I'm scared of what any revelations will do to Reid.
Does anyone want to be obsessive with me and analysis this preview?
The first flashback/dream We already saw this, so nothing new there.
"My mind is sending me singles..." --> He's saying that to Morgan, right?
"We're looking for a pedophile. Are you sure you want to go down this road?" --> Is Rossi asking this because he's worried Reid won't be able to handle the fact that his dad is a sex offender or is he worried that his dad might have hurt Reid and going down this road would bring up memories that should stay hidden for Reid's own sake?
In second flashback/dream --> Is the person sleeping in the dream adult!Reid, child!Reid or Riley? I can't tell.
Mom's reaction --> Her reaction suggests that she knows something. The thing is, does she explicitly know, is she in severe denial or is her mind also repressing certain memories/feelings
"Tell me the truth" Are they talking in an interrogation room?
Okay, I know I'm obsessed... Ironic thing is, I'm Canadian but I didn't start watching Criminal Minds until I moved to the States for school in September (I'm all up-to-date now :D). If I were at home, I could be watching this tomorrow!
What are your thoughts on little!Reid killer theory?
My problem with this is that a four-year-old could not sexually abuse a six-year-old, so there still has to be a sex offender. Secondly, can you imagine four-year-old Reid stabbing a child to death? Reid can hardly hurt a fly as an adult, let alone as a child. And thirdly, can you imagine the toll this will take on Reid? I don’t know if he could come back from this. I mean, he’d be a killer…
*jumping into the conversation a little late, but whatever* Something that strikes me as interesting about this promo is Rossi's presence with Spencer and the therapist along with his line about pedophiles ... even though Morgan is in the room with them when they are going over the information. Last week, Morgan was the agent who kept connecting with Reid over what happened in his nightmares, so you'd think that if he was still around, he might want to continue doing that.
So, my two thoughts are either the show does go down the Reid-was-molested route (unlikely), and they could use this as a way to go back to Morgan's history and either have him try to talk to Reid and to make him feel better, or for Morgan to entirely shut down in order to protect himself from his own bad memories. That, or if Reid wasn't molested (more likely) ... I don't know. Rossi is just around more often? Morgan was out of the camera angle?
