Hey everyone! I joined this fine community a few weeks ago and have been responding to posts, etc., but very rudely, have not said a proper hello. So here goes: proper hello!
I signed up to LJ after reading some excellent fanfic, and made the pleasant discovery of a fellow band of CM lovers in the process.
Getting the intro details out of the way:
Name: Hopskotch_Hotch!
Age: 24 (already?!)
Location: Ireland
Favorite TV show: CM, no contest right now!
Other Shows Watched: Sometimes hark back to the good 'uns that are no longer with us: x-files, buffy, Angel, dead like me, also CSI, Bones.
Favorite Quote: "I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member" (Groucho Marx)
Favorite Color: Sometimes red, sometimes blue
If I was a criminal, I'd be...Oh, I can't even squish the tiniest bug by accident without feeling guilty. But if I had to choose - the Zodiac killer: identity still unconfirmed...
WATCH
Criminals to keep in mind It's a crime more TV police dramas aren't better. "Criminal Minds" is better, though there's some argument over whether Mandy Patinkin's departure at the end of the second season is a plus or minus.
Though the premise isn't at all unique -- the protagonists are FBI profilers -- the viewpoint focuses on the criminals rather than on the crimes and crime fighters. And a series of powerful guest stars has enhanced the episodes. That includes the current season on CBS and the reruns (the taut second show of the series airs at 11 p.m. Friday on A&E).
Regardless, Thomas ("Dharma & Greg") Gibson as the sleek leader Hotch and Matthew ("The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou") Gray Gubler as the socially inept but brilliant Dr. Spencer Reid are sufficiently arresting themselves to carry the series.

since the article asked...do you think mandy's departure is a plus or a minus?
i liked gideon pretty well and thought i'd be as sad as reid to watch him go. but frankly, i think season 3 was excellent and i loved the more ensemble feel to the show. but that's just me.
