The evening's festivities will begin at 6:00 pm, featuring a special screening of "SWAN, one man's journey," an inspirational biographical documentary on the development of award-winning filmmaker Andy Swan's life, career, and his passion and commitment to filmmaking.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.aoffest.com. Prices are $20 in advance / $25 at the door. Purchase early as seats are limited. Proceeds will go to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.

Such a great team of people. I really hope the whole cast is there. One last hurrah all together.

As you all should be aware of, the country of Haiti was recently devastated with a catastrophic earthquake. Many are contributing fandom work to the community [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti, with the items offered going to the highest bidder. All proceeds are donated directly to established relief efforts for Haiti.

[livejournal.com profile] darkhawkhealer was the first (and only member) to ask permission to advertise her offerings (rule #7 in the community profile). We are glad to link you to those contributions and ask that all members, who are also wishing to advertise, do so as a comment here. A link to this post is being added to the community sidebar for quick reference.

Please only use the 'post a new comment' link and refrain from replying to others ('Reply to this' --Comments that are replied to can not be edited, only deleted). More importantly, please also leave all discussion out of this entry. Any questions to the contributor should be made via PM or possibly a comment under their entry at [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti so only advertisements can be readily seen here.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and the generosity of all contributors and subsequent bidders.

Hey guys! I'm sure most of you have heard of the [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti community by now, yes? I've got two auctions running, one for a fic and one for icons.

The fic thread is here. It's a minimum of 1,000 words. I usually write slash (Morgan/Reid), but could write a gen fic if you want. In fact, gen is actually better for me in this fandom. :D You can go to [livejournal.com profile] fic_tastic69  to see my style of writing if you are not already familar with it. I'll write basically anything except hardcore porn. ;) The bidding is up to $15 on this one, so the minimum bid from there would be $16.

The icon thread is here. I'm offering at least 25 icons to the highest bidder. Go to [livejournal.com profile] breakthesky89  to see my icon style. The ones I make will be completely custom, whatever you want. Any fandom, though I'm sure for people here Criminal Minds would be the top pick (same for me). The number of icons will go up with the bids, although I haven't decided on a set formula for that. The bid is $10 for this one, so minimum bid would be $11.

Even if you don't want my stuff, there are tons of people offering all sorts of things at that community. Fan-vids, fan-art, hand-made mittens or socks, tarot readings, home-made recipe books, and all sorts of other things. There was even someone offering to make a handbag or tote with your favorite fandom characters on it. :D  And it's for a very good cause, so if you can, try to help out! :D Hope everyone is having a great day!
