Sorry, folks, I was never really a fan of hers to begin with.

Wow, I guess I'm like the only person on this LJ that is actually excited for the new spin-off. I love NCIS:LA, I loved CSI:NY (until the show became a wankfest with Danny) and I'm hoping that Criminal Minds 2.0 is the same way.

Now, I'm not saying I ain't pissed with the letting go of Cook, or that I didn't rage over Paget's cutback, but I'm going to judge this new show for what it is.

A new show.

And like someone else said, both shows are separate and have different budgets. Who knows how a national television broadcast network works? Or even what their mindset is?

So far, they've really only got two names attached as weekly regulars, Whittaker and Garofalo. Which is pretty much with they had with CM, Patinkin and Gibson and you could probably count Moore. So it's not like the original show was just about outstanding story-telling. They also hedged their bets with a couple of recognizable faces and that's, so far, what they've done here.

I don't necessarily agree with the actual selections, either creatively or from a marketing standpoint, but it doesn't seem like an unusually excessive push for name talent to me.
