Sorry, folks, I was never really a fan of hers to begin with.

So they hired a new actress for the spin-off while canning ...

I can't even deal with this anymore.

I like her, but she isn't making me any more excited. And their hiring another actress and getting rid of two originals for....?

I get really irritated every time I read the spin-off description. A team of "elite FBI profilers within the BAU". It feels like a slight to our guys. /rant

So we can fire AJ and reduce Paget but hire Jeanine Garafalo? For the spin off nobody's gonna watch.

Unbelievable.

Uh, yeh, no. I don't mind her, but not in a serious role. And DEFINETLY not in a CM spin-off that shouldn't even exist in the first place.

I won't be watching this. And since JJ is going to be gone, I have a feeling I won't be watching CM either. :|

I like her, but not as a serious actress. What the hell CBS? I am so confused.

What. Ever.

I mean, I've loved her for years, but she's not enough to make me watch that stupid spinoff. And she can't be cheaper to hire than AJ + Paget.

I have a few thoughts about this. First off, while I'd like to get mad at the spin-off for hiring "names" while the original is reducing roles, I can't. The spin-off and the original are two separate shows with two separate budgets. Second, I'm not exactly sure why the spin-off is hiring "names." Do they think it will get them more viewers? Third, I was shocked that I actually really enjoyed Garofalo in a serious role when she was on "24," when I originally thought she'd be horrible for the part.

I love her in comedy, but drama? An FBI show? Seriously?

No wonder they offed characters from the original if they're paying for people with profiles like this.

I love her! And she was pretty good on The West Wing.

Still won't be watching the spin-off, though.

Ugh. She's probably a fine actress, but I'm still not jumping up and down and squeeing about the spin-off.

I dig JG, but I was never interested in the spin-off, and I'm certainly not going to start now. Sorry, but some shows just don't need publicity stunts. Some shows can stand on their own.

Wow, I guess I'm like the only person on this LJ that is actually excited for the new spin-off. I love NCIS:LA, I loved CSI:NY (until the show became a wankfest with Danny) and I'm hoping that Criminal Minds 2.0 is the same way.

Now, I'm not saying I ain't pissed with the letting go of Cook, or that I didn't rage over Paget's cutback, but I'm going to judge this new show for what it is.

A new show.

And like someone else said, both shows are separate and have different budgets. Who knows how a national television broadcast network works? Or even what their mindset is?

I wasn't that into a new spin off before this but I don't think she can play a serious role so its another reason for not watching it. I can't stand spin offs, if the original works, just let it be, don't spin it off into a bunch of crappy knock-offs.

JG's cool but this spinoff still sounds stupid and doesn't have enough hot people in it, so therefore it is not relevant to my interests.

I guess it's apparent now what TPTB's pet project is

i haven't seen enough of her to decide whether i like her or not...but i'm crossing my fingers and praying she replaces that annoying chick who was in the backdoor spinoff pilot.

Don't know her at all. Don't care either \o/

Poor spin-off, you aren't loved at all, and you still have to start.

Man, this was just what they did for NCIS: Los Angeles. They did that episode of NCIS with the other team in LA, for what became the spin-off cast, just to see if people liked them. And then went forward with it. And NCIS: LA isn't that great. I've been watching it just on the off-chance that something cool would happen, but it's risen from bad to merely mediocre, with very occasional flashes of pretty cool. But it's not consistant.

One could hope that with Forrest Whitaker on board that the writing would be better for CM: Suspect Behavior. Then again, CSI: NY has the talented Gary Sinese, and that show occasionally has writing so bad my teeth hurt. Not always, but occasionally.
