Did anyone else think that Reid getting shot was irrelevant to the plot of this show? Now I'm all for a good Reid whumping, but geez, the season opener and he's already hurt?? Do the writers just hate him?

The actor, Matthew Gray Gubler, hurt his knee pretty spectacularly before the season started to film. He needed an excuse to be off his feet for a BUNCH of episodes (the actor just finished his 3rd? knee surgery and was unable to put weight on his leg for about 4 months or so).

If you look carefully at 5.01, you'll notice Reid was never shown standing- because MGG was already injured at the time :)

So, yeah- not exactly the plan to write Reid as injured in the season opener.

The US has three time zones, so it's 9 pm on the east coast but 8 pm in the mid-west. CM airs at 9 pm (at least for me!)

Actually there are four: Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific. And I'm pretty sure that Hawaii and Alaska have different time zones, as well. I've lived in the Central Time zone for all of my life that I can remember. ;) CM is on at 8 for me. :D

Reid's hair is looking WONDERFUL. However, Hotch needs a severe amount of help. And he looked like he blamed Reid for the leg injury -- of course, we don't know that anyone actually ever told him all the details. I would have liked a bit of empathy there.

I just wanted to point out that the unsub drove AMAZINGLY well for having never driven before. If only I'd done that well the first time I got behind the wheel...

I'm hoping whenever they find/catch Foyet, Hotch will be able to "move on" (physically and emotionally). Would be very symbolic- seems like he's unable to leave his apartment because it might give him some clue to catch Foyet.

I love Morgan and his concern for Hotch, and I love Rossi for just not wanting to do an intervention and bombard Hotch, and I love Emily for walking Hotch to his apartment.

I love this whole team and how strongly they care about each others health and well being.

I wanted to love Rossi for his whole "trust Hotch" thing, but I'm not sure it's the best policy right now.

I mean, last time the team waited for one of their team members to deal with things on his own, it took Reid a WHILE to get clean... just saying, Morgan knows this team's experience with letting them try stuff alone, and it isn't exactly sterling (see also, Morgan in "Profiler, Profiled" Prentiss in "Demonology" and others).

I missed most of the end because my cat broke a flower pot, then my brother started yelling about how this show should have been taking place in a bong shop...for some reason. IDK what he was talking about but I missed most of the ending! D:<
