I am looking for someone with skills at making fanvids because, quite simply, I can't. There are some songs that I love that fit Show perfectly and I'm willing to offer ten drabbles of your choice to anyone claiming any vid. However, and I realize that this will probably limit my candidate pool, I'm afraid I don't write intra-team ship fics. But any genre, subject or pairing outside of those I'm up for (though if you ask for a crossover I obviously have to know the fandom). So if anyone would like to, please reply in the comments section, and here are the songs and their subjects.

The first choice would be a vid about Reid and Gideon with themes about disillusionment and Gideon's pedestal breaking as Reid matures, set to Mumford and Sons' 'The Cave'.

The second would be a Hotch/Haley vid pretty much covering their relationship and its deterioration up until her death, set to Band of Horses' 'No One's Gonna Love You'.

This third would be a Morgan vid about his faith set to The Fray's 'You Found Me' (with specific mention of Garcia in 'Penelope' at the lines "losing her, the only one who's ever known who I am...".

This would be about 'Revelations' set to a choral rendition of Jester Hairston's 'Elijah Rock' (and be warned, this youtube link is the exact version and the link is most likely the only way to get the music, as it's quite difficult to find quality choir footage).

This would be about Emily, hopefully involving the Doyle arc and 'Demonology' as well as 'Honor Among Thieves', and it would be set to Thrice's 'Stare At the Sun'.

Mumford and Sons' 'Thistle and Weeds' could easily be about Elle's fall, or Gideon's fall, or the entire team's tenuous connection to sanity the longer they stay on the job. (If you do make this about the whole team, could you at some point use the footage from right before the end of '...And Back'. It would be cool to see it at the beginning of the song with Hotch's "sometimes there are no words" speech overlayed.

I've decided that this fall I will not be writing the recap/reviews for CM on thetwocents.com anymore. So I thought that I would let you all know that TTC is looking for someone to take over. He doesn't bite, and I've really enjoyed "working" with him.

And while I'm here--I know that some of you have been reading my reviews for a while now over the last few seasons, and I just wanted to say thank you. You guys have been awesome, and I will miss discussing the show with you.

A few months ago I posted some links to my personal journal, where I'd written three recap-type entries for some of the newer CM episodes:

For those who aren't already familiar with my... um... I don't actually like calling them "recaps" (I always seem to default to "crappy point-form play-by-plays") they're basically nothing more than free-written ramblings. I press play on an episode, I pause it when something comes to me, and I write stuff down. Sometimes I add pictures/screencaps. Sometimes I go off on a complete tangent. The results aren't terribly ground-breaking/intelligent, but I have my fun when I write them, and I know that some fellow fans enjoy them, so I thought I'd go ahead and post the links to four more that I've completed in the past few months:

Yeah, I know I skipped quite a few episodes (February was a bit of a busy month for me, and as a result I ended up falling behind), but I am hoping to slowly make my way through most (if not all) of the S6 eps in due time.

Anyway, I enjoy discussing the episodes, so please feel free to comment/joke/flail/debate/picspam/gifspam/whatever on any of my entries (90% of what I write is completely tongue-in-cheek, so yeah... anything goes)! I'm always happy to meet new friends and strike up a conversation about the show.

Hi all! I'm still fairly new to this comm (it wasn't too long ago that I first introduced myself), but I've been thoroughly enjoying everyone's fic/art/other contributions in my relatively brief period of lurking here. While I haven't written any CM fic myself (yet... I'm really hoping that some inspiration will come to me soon) I do love to write, even if it's just essentially mindless free-writing. This is my roundabout way of segueing into the point I'm trying to make! Haha. Since the start of Season Six I've been writing what I like to call "crappy play-by-play recaps" of a few episodes on my personal livejournal. Basically I press play on the episode, pause it when something comes to me, and write it down. Sometimes I add pictures. Sometimes I go off on a complete tangent. Trust me when I say that the results are certainly not worthy of any "Intelligent Insight of the Week" awards, but I have fun writing them, so I thought I'd share. I've written three so far:

Hey there, Crim Comm!

If you're a fandom addict like me, you haven't thought about anything else in the last few days but tonight's premiere! How exciting.

That being said, I have a question that may or may not be answerable/permitted (so, mods, feel free to delete this if you must).

I was wondering if anybody knew what Criminal Minds intends to do at this year's New York Comic Convention (NYCC) on October 8-10. I know that the entire cast was featured in a panel at SDCC, but I have no idea if they have ever done anything for NYCC. I will be there regardless, but it would be nice to know ahead of time if I need to arrive early to get in line for cast autographs/panels/fangirling.

So basically, has anyone ever gone and seen something CM-related there, and do we know anything about cast/crew being there either officially or unofficially?

Do any of you have CM dreams?

I've dreamt on more than one occasion that I was working a case with the team. Once I was following Morgan and Reid around looking for a key or something, it was really stupid. Then Gideon showed up and I shot him ;)

But last night I dreamt that for some ridiculous reason, Ed Bernero showed up at my family reunion. I went up to him and said "I love CM to death, fave show ever, but why can't you guys keep a coheret backstory to save your life?"

So, long story short, I was walking home the other day and a neighbor guy was like, "Hey, where you going? Do you wanna pet my puppy?" He was just being kind of creepy. And I was like, "No thanks." and he wanted to know my name, first and last and I hope he doesn't watch CM because I told him my name was Emily Prentiss. xD
